There are 78 chars, all on them have a diffrent spells, skills and one passive skill. Once every 2-3 weeks they are reach a new champion. Your build are based on your inventory, not skills and spells (what a suprise? :P). All items you can buy for the gold from the monsters and enemy chars in the store, you can buy them only on your spawnarea.
In every week you have a 10 free champions to play (it is changes at night from monday to tuesday). Other champions You can buy in the profile store for Influence Points, You can get them for every game (winning or losing).

I use that site all the time
But sometimes, like when your tanking, or it doesn't go very well, you'll need to buy some cheap or other stuff.
