Battlefield Rulebook
This rulebook contain all rules and guidelines ment for Battlefield games. You will find following rules and guidelines in this thread (Click the name or scroll down):

Server Rules
Battlefield 3 / Battlefield Bad Company 2
Some rules are not written down, but just apply as common sense.

Rules: Battlefield Servers

1. No insulting and bad language!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   
   
2. No chat spamming!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   
   
3. No main-base-raping/killing!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   Explanation main-base-raping: Main-base is the Russian or US first spawn point and can't be captured.
   It is only allowed to return fire on players that shoot out of the main-base.
   
   
4. No teamkilling!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   
   
5. No vehicle-spawn-blocking!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   Explanation vehicle-spawn: Vehicle-spawn is the exact point where vehicles spawns.
   Standing on top of those spawns prevents vehicles from spawning, that is not allowed.
   
   
6. No gameplay hindering!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   Explanation gameplay hindering: Hindering the gameplay would be an action a player take to prevent others to play the game how it's ment to be.
   This could be as an example flying and crashing a full chopper out side of the boundaries.
   
   
7. Only English is allowed in the main and the team chat, the sqaud chat is open for any languages!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   
   
8. No glitch/bug abuse!
   Results in kick or ban if you don't listen to the warnings!
   
   
9. No cheating!
   Results in permanently ban!

Weapon Restriction
We don't have any server with restrictions at the moment!

M320,RPG-7,USAS-12,SMAW,MK3A1 + 10 Grenades per round
Using some of those weapons above or using grenades more than 10 times in a round after warnings results in kick or ban!

Weapon Restriction

Using some of those weapons above after warnings results in kick or ban!

Something to report?
If you feel you have been treated bad on our servers, banned/kicked for wrong reason, seen admins that doesn't follow the rules or came across other rule breakers - please tell use with creating a new thread in the forum section that fits the game you played (BC2 or BF3).

Unban?
If you want a unban on some of our battlefield servers - please request a unban on Help Bans section.

Server Admin Rules & Guidelines

We in Flame Guards want to stay professional and try to do the right thing in all scenarios. Each server admin should therefore follow some rules and guidelines.
The rules can be updated, so you are responsible to keep your self updated (in case we have not announced a change/addition).

Rules: Server Admins

1. Server Admins shall get to know all server rules!
   You can find the rules here.
   
   
2. Server Admins can only use their admin rights on rulebreakers!
   You have as an example no right to kick a player to make place to a friend.
   
   
3. Server Admins shall behave just like other players!
   Shouting out "fuckings idiot", breaking server rules or other things that could set Flame-guards in a bad light is not allowed.
   
   
4. Server Admins shall never ban cheaters before they are 100 % sure!
   You can find a guide in the bottom of this thread about spotting and banning cheaters.
   
   
5. Server Admins shall not accuse players before they are sure they did it or use it!
   This mean accusing players for glitching, teamkilling or other rule breaking acts without knowing for sure who is breaking the rule.
   
   
6. Server Admins shall not be severely intoxicated when they use their rights!
   We are not telling you: "don't play the game". But let other admins do the job when you are severely intoxicated.
   
   
7. Server Admins shall allways report banned people to the bad player section!
   This is to keep a record on when, by who and why people got kick/ban. Still it's important that you add your reason and name behind every ban you force.
   
   
8. Server Admins shall allways add a good reason when they ban people!
   This is to keep the banned gamer aware of why he/she got banned.

Guidelines
How to ban

You should allways add a good reason when you ban people.
Adding "byebye", "fuck you cheater", no reason added, etc. is not allowed!
This is how you should enforce a ban:
!ban name reason / !ban Fragger cheating

Guidelines
Teamkiller/baseraper

First time: Warn player or warn with kill.
Second time: Kick player.
Continuing: Kick or enforce 60 minute ban and make a bad player report.

Bad language/insulting

First time: Warn player.
Second time: Kick player
Continuing: Kick or enforce 60 minute ban and make a bad player report.

Glitch abuse

First time: Make sure that the player is abusing , it could be just common problem. Warn player or warn with kill.
Second time: Kick player
Continuing: Kick or enforce 60 minute ban and make a bad player report.

Cheaters/hackers

If you suspect someone of cheating you should gather proof first. Try to avoid alerting the player so he/she doesn't think you are watching him/her. Sometimes it could be obvious. You see the player spinning around, shooting every thing and getting 100 kills in just a few minutes. That isn't always the case, sometimes it can be hard to separate cheaters from good players.
The first thing you should do is checking up his/her stats, where you should look at his/her headshot rate, score per min (spm) and other things that could reveal him/her. When he/she has over 1000 spm BC2 / 2000 spm BF3 and a headshot rate of 70 % on weapons other than snipers it starts looking like a cheater. Sometimes you meet someone who just have a high spm and not a high headshot rate. Cheaters that have scores like that is hard to catch, they most likely just use wallhack or a light aimbot that balance the hits between head and chest. To bust cheaters like that you may need to hide on a good spot and see if he/she finds you. To confirm it, you should do it several times. Finally it could be smart to ask people with experience, listen to what they have to say.
End it with a permanent ban and make a bad player report.

Punkbuster screenshots

Here you can search up the player and see if you can find any screenshots that can reveal him/her (it finds every screenshots taken and uploaded on GT).

Check out the GUID

The GUID or globally unique identifier can be found if you click on one of the punkbuster screenshots. An example is d17cc0c938c75465141e04fbbcfbba81.
If you don't find any screenshots you can get the GUID by asking the serverowners. The servers are logging every name with GUID.
With the GUID you can search up the player on GGC-stream, where you can see if the player has any interesting data.

If you google the player name and add cheater/hacker to your search you can look if you find any interesting data about this player.

Trial Members: Guidelines

There are currently about 8 trial member slots for Battlefield Bad Company 2 (current trial members). Once a trial member becomes a full -|FG|- Member, a trial member slot becomes free. Also, when a trial member is removed from the list for what ever reason - good or bad -, a slot becomes free.

This is a guideline to help you and to help us.

We have chosen you as a trial member because of certain aspects (listed here). If we feel that that you are not doing any of these and we feel that the position could go to someone else, don't feel offended if we remove the trial membership from you. This could be because we feel there are other players on the server that are very active and we think we should give them a chance, or because we think you are too inactive on the server and feel it's time for a new trial member.

If you feel that you are not going to be able to fulfil part of this then tell us, so we can pass the position to the next player. Of course you can rejoin the trial membership again if we think we need you again. If you decide to leave for what ever reason we will not hold it against you. It would be best and be better for you to inform us and if in the future you want to return then we know who you are and what kind of person you were and we will not hesitate to continue where you left off.
For example, if

• you are going to army;
• you have real life issues (family, friends);
• you need a break
• you are going away for a long time;
• you have other commitments that are more important

we would like you to inform us.

Basically what we would like to see during your trial membership:

• Be active on the servers. This includes the forums and TeamSpeak.
• Be an active trial member. Enforce the rules, so !yell, !kick when you think it is necessary.
• Report issues, bad players and good players in the corresponding topic.

Trial member status can be removed at any time for certain reasons

• PunkBuster issues
• Valve VAC issues
• Caught using any sort of hack, or continuous abuse of bugs/glitches/exploits
• Racist remarks/comments or gestures
• Insulting of other members
• Admin Abuse
• Server Abuse
• Forum Abuse
• TS Abuse
